Network Homes' Chief Executive named Vice Chair of g15

12 June 2017

The g15 today has announced the appointment of a new Chair and Vice Chair. Paul Hackett, CEO of Optivo succeeds David Montague as Chair and Helen Evans, CEO of Network Homes takes over the Vice Chair role from Paul Hackett, with immediate effect.

Paul Hackett said: “I’d like to thank David Montague for the fantastic job he’s done as Chair over the past two years. David has developed a clear and compelling narrative about g15’s role as a key delivery partner for the Mayor and government. I’m delighted to be taking over the chair at this important time. Collectively, g15  have committed to increase the delivery of new homes by 50%, to 60,000 over the next four years. Of these 42,000 homes will be affordable, with the remainder for market sale and market rent.

The country is going through a period of uncertainty, so it’s even more important that g15 offers a clear message about the conditions that will enable housing associations to maximise the supply of new homes, matched with a commitment to address Britain’s broken housing market. I’m looking forward to working with the GLA, the boroughs and the new government to drive higher housing supply in London, and with Helen Evans as we take the g15 forward.”

Helen Evans said: “This is an exciting time to be taking over as Vice Chair of g15. Between us, we house one in ten Londoners and provide a positive voice for housing in the capital. It’s a vital moment in our history, as a new government develops its detailed policies and the Mayor’s housing plans come to fruition. I’m looking forward to contributing to these big policy developments, working with Paul and g15 colleagues to ensure we remain at the heart of the debate on affordable housing in London and do our utmost to tackle the huge housing needs we see in our city.”
