Work starts on 142 affordable homes in Hounslow with visit from Deputy Mayor
15 June 2017
The Deputy Mayor for Housing and Residential Development at City Hall, James Murray, visited the Hounslow Town Primary School site for a ground breaking event.
The site in Hounslow will offer a new five form entry primary school and 284 new homes – 50% of which are affordable and will be owned and managed by Network Homes.
Our 142 affordable homes will consist of 74 shared ownership and 68 affordable rent homes. The development has benefitted from £6.2m of funding from the GLA’s Housing Zone Funding Grant.
The event was attended by partners working on the site including Countryside Properties, Greater London Authority (GLA), London Borough of Hounslow and Jerram Falkus Construction, plus representatives from the school.
It is great to be working with Hounslow and its partners to build a new school alongside nearly 300 new homes, and I am pleased that together the Council and City Hall have been able to make sure half of the homes will be affordable to rent and buy.

We are grateful to our partners at the GLA for their financial backing and overall support.”
