Kilburn Quarter wins Best Design at National Housing Awards 2018

10 September 2018

Network Homes' South Kilburn development was named Best Design at the National Housing Awards 2018. This award is for the best affordable home ownership scheme that demonstrates a high level of design excellence, whilst delivering at least 30% affordable homes. NHA 2018 ceremony

The National Housing Awards has long been recognised as one of the best events in the housing calendar. The awards celebrate the brightest and best in the affordable home ownership market. The ceremony was held last Thursday at Grosvenor House as leading figures in housing gathered to celebrate excellence in home ownership.

The NHA judges comments on the Best Design award include "stunning environmentally friendly development with a quirky and luxurious feel, as well as a gloriously practical and well thought-out bright living space. A very impressive scheme which stands out from the crowd."

This continues an incredible year of awards success for Network Homes including two award wins for our South Kilburn regeneration scheme at the RESI Awards and Evening Standard New Homes Awards. In May, we celebrated another two award wins at the National Safety Awards and we scooped two more awards at The HANA Awards in July.

Our Kilburn Quarter scheme is a defining development in the £600 million regeneration of South Kilburn. Transforming two post-war tower blocks into four smart blocks surrounding a generous courtyard the scheme has helped to create an inclusive community. The blocks are a mixture of social rent homes, creating much-needed homes for local people.
