Network Homes and SW9 Community Housing host an Apprenticeship Information Day
14 March 2018
As part of National Apprenticeship week, Network Homes and SW9 Community Housing partnered with our contractors Henry Construction to host an Apprenticeship Information Day on Friday 9 March. The event was held at SW9’s office and it was a great opportunity for people to find out more about apprenticeships in construction.
Henry Construction talked about the opportunities they have coming up on offer to Network Homes residents and the different types of roles within the construction industry. Lambeth College also attended the event and were able to advice our residents on the different routes for getting into construction and also provide information on what’s involved in an apprenticeship and the qualification that they would receive.
Attendees heard from SW9 resident, Dennis Rose, about his experience working for Henry Construction and what it’s like working in the construction industry. Dennis has recently been appointed the Site Manager for one of our new developments - Thrayle House.
The event was a success with over 20 local residents attending. We look forward to seeing how our residents will progress in their journeys into construction.
