Network gains £2million for residents for a second year
20 April 2021
Network Homes has managed to secure a £2million boost in residents’ income for a second year in a row.
This is all thanks to the efforts of Network’s Welfare Advice Team who have overcome the challenges of COVID-19 to ensure residents can sustain their tenancies and support themselves.
Most of this money is in unclaimed benefits and in the 2020/21 financial year we gained £1 million in Housing Benefit, £500,000 in Universal Credit with the remaining half a million going directly to residents themselves.
Over the last year we have had to find different ways of serving our residents and colleagues with the same care and professionalism we always strive for. We look forward to getting back to what we do best, face to face meeting with our residents to provide the best solution to whatever crisis has befallen them and hopefully by the end of this year it will be service as usual.
