Quick and safe access to domestic abuse support on our website
09 December 2021
We’ve recently adopted Online Safe Spaces on our website, which is a discreet portal offering helpful specialist support, advice and contact information for people at risk of or experiencing domestic abuse. It features a quick exit button and leaves no internet history, providing a safe route for people to access support whilst carrying out daily online tasks.
To access this support, all you need to do is select the Safe Spaces banner at the bottom of any page on our website. This will automatically open a private area of information and resources. This information can be translated into most languages using a dropdown box at the top of the pop-up.
We also have a directory of domestic abuse help on our website. You can click any of the ‘Emergency close window’ buttons at any time when visiting the page and you will automatically exit the page and be taken to the Google homepage.

If you are in immediate danger, always call 999 and ask for the Police. If you can't speak, call 999 followed by 55 when the operator answers (or tap or cough into the phone). This will alert the operator to transfer the call to the police.
