Key milestone marked in delivery of affordable homes in Acton

Much needed affordable homes in Acton are a step closer after a key milestone was marked at a special ‘topping out’ ceremony on Friday 24 June. Developers Countryside held a special ‘topping out’ ceremony with partners at the Gunnersbury Road site to see the final construction beams installed.

We’re delivering 21 affordable homes which will consist of one, two and three-bedroom homes delivered as part of section 106 agreement. Twelve apartments will be London Affordable Rent and the other nine for London Living Rent, a scheme which helps residents save for a deposit to buy their own home. New residents will be expected to move into their new homes in 2023.

The new homes are part of an overall mixed-use development which comprises 116 high-quality homes, as well as a new 1,200-pupil secondary school, Ark Soane Academy. It's close to excellent transport links with Acton Town tube station providing quick access to Central London.
