We’ve won a ASCP Safety and Compliance Award

We’re pleased to have won the ‘Partnership and Collaboration of the Year’ award at this year’s ASCP Safety and Compliance Awards. This is a result of our partnership work with compliance data company RiskHub and our collaboration on a solution for fire door inspections.

Our partnership with RiskHub involved using QR codes to more effectively document the condition of fire doors in flats and buildings over 11 metres. This has helped us to prepare for the new requirements set out in the Fire Safety Act 2021, which came into force this January.

We’ve used these QR codes to log front door and communal doors on a system which holds a description of the door, its location in the building, and information on its condition. We can then update this database with any changes to the condition and findings from future fire door inspections. You can find out more about this work here.

The ASCP Awards are dedicated to safety and compliance in the social housing and facilities management sectors. This particular award is for those working with other organisations to improve safety and compliance standards, leading by example in the sector.

I’m really proud with everyone involved in this collaboration. A lot of hard work has gone into this fire door project, and I think it proves that partnership working, and knowledge sharing are crucial to successful outcomes.
