WATCH - Helen's Vlog from March 2021 Board Meeting

On Tuesday 30 March, our Board held their latest meeting where they discussed a range of topics from a packed agenda. Helen Evans, Chief Executive captures the key points from the meeting which she shares with us in her latest vlog. These include:

• Budget finalised – Aims to achieve an operating margin of 27% which is below corporate target but takes into account the significant expenditure on fire safety and other essential work that need to be prioritised.
• Open Board Meetings – Board Meetings will be opened up for residents, staff, and general members of the public to attend starting in May as part of our aim to build better trust and confidence with residents. This will be run as a pilot scheme for the next two meetings in May and November.
• Business plan finalised – Our 30-year business plan has been finalised and is to be submitted to The Regulator of Social Housing in June setting out Network’s development and long-term spending.
• Procurement plan reviewed – Includes several large procurements around fire safety and remedial works for the financial year ahead.
